Forever Saroyan, LLC, is an archive developed by William Saroyan’s cousin, Charles Janigian, to preserve, protect, and honor the memories and legacies of the Saroyan and Minasian families for generations to come.
Chief among this family of course was William Saroyan, the most famous and most published in the family. Not only did he grow to represent the family, but he became an international icon and a symbol of triumph to Armenians across the world. For this reason, Forever Saroyan collects items mostly concerning William. However, we also preserve and maintain the works of artist and poet Archie Minasian, letters and published works by Aram and Lucy Saroyan, and various items donated by and for the Minasian and Saroyan families.
A major goal of the archive is publishing manuscripts, drafts, letters, and story collections that either have never been released to the public or have been forgotten and need a refresh. The archives also seeks to expand Saroyan outreach by curating exhibits and giving presentations to the public.
Although this is a privately funded family archive, we choose to make our unique materials available to the world via this website, scheduled tours of our facility, and published books so that the next generation of scholars and enthusiasts will study and write about Saroyan and his family.
