Forever Saroyan, LLC is an archive located in San Jose, CA, and is open to researchers by appointment. Please contact for more information and to schedule a visit. Outside resources include:

  • The Saroyan House Museum, located in Saroyan’s former home in Fresno, offers an exhibition room as well as a reading room to conduct Saroyan research. Book an appointment in advance:
  • The William Saroyan Foundation underwrites The William Saroyan International Prize for Writing and The Saroyan/Paul Human Rights Playwriting Prize. It also holds artwork by Saroyan.
  • Saroyan materials can be found in many institutional collections. The Online Archive of California collects finding aids from across California to help researchers find historical records to study. Search for “William Saroyan” at to discover all of the collections that contain Saroyan records.
